BodyMed® Dermaplaning Blades come in three sizes and two different materials. Each size and material offers its own properties and benefits.
Known as the “butter blade,” the size 10R blade is thought of as the safest option for dermaplaning because of its rounded tip.
This blade has a sharp, pointed tip that offers greater precision when working.
An adaptation of the “butter knife” shape, this blade has a slight corner at the tip that gives it a straight appearance. The longest of the dermaplaning blades, it covers more surface area than the 10 or 10R.
Stainless steel is the more flexible material of the two. Because of its greater flexibility, stainless steel blades tend to be more durable and resistant to pressure.
Carbon steel blades offer more stiffness for greater precision and detail when working. Carbon is known as a more brittle, harder material that’s less flexible than stainless steel.
Make sure to use the BodyMed® Dermaplaning Blade Handle with BodyMed® Dermaplaning Blades. The handle is intended for use with all blade sizes and materials.
